Biography

Natalie Chung is a dancer, teacher and choreographer based in Toronto, Canada. She trained for eleven years at Denise Lester Dance Academy in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and musical theatre, where she received both her British Association of Teacher of Dancing and Acrobatic Arts certifications. She studied at Rosedale Heights School of the Arts in Toronto, performing and training under an intensive dance curriculum as well as within the Rosedale Heights Dance Company. She went on to train in modern and ballet styles at York University in the Choreographic and Performance stream in their BFA Dance program, and earned an Honours degree from York University’s School of Art, Media, Performance and Design in 2016. Throughout her comprehensive training and studies, Natalie was coached by ballet experts and modern dance pioneers such as Tracy Norman, Susan Lee, Helen Jones, Candice Helm, Julia Sasso, Carol Anderson, Holly Small and John Ottmann. She is always looking to learn more about her craft, and has continued her growth as a dancer by studying contemporary under Allison Bradley, and performing in Kaela Faloon’s Sensual Heeling Company. Natalie has spent the last 6 years teaching and choreographing many routines for competition and pre-competition students. As an evolving artist, her goals in life are to dance, teach, and perform worldwide.
